firm grip

This is a unique photo. Why do I say that? Well I have never seen a bird tilts its body away from the object or wire it is sitting on. But then that is why you named this Firm Grip isn't it.

You were either rather close or had a good zoom lens to get this shot. It is unique in another way because taking photos of wildlife can be a challenge. You could easily have missed this little Blue Tit if it decided to fly away.

I like to composition of the photo. The bird is not truly in the center of the photo. You can see the 4 colors of the feathers with shading of a 5th. The metal object he lighted on has character that is sometimes missed. But that being said, I think there is too much of the metal object. It kind of takes away from the little bird. I would suggest cropping just a smidgen more of the object so the focus is on the little bird.

A little contract could have made the colors on the bird pop more. But all in all I do like how this picture sings to me. One false step and off he will fall.
